We are pleased to announce the establishment of the International Table Volleyball Federation (ITVF).

With its headquarters based in Switzerland, ITVF is the governing body presiding over table volleyball. The establishment of the first national federations will soon begin!

The sport, created in Hungary, is genuinely gender-equitable, as the rules define that table volleyball shall be played between four players, irrespective of gender. The sport follows a points-based scoring format and can be played on various surfaces, such as sand, acrylic, or indoors. It allows players a maximum of three touches before returning the ball to the opponent. In addition, the rule of no physical contact allowed between the players or between the players and the table helps reduce the risk of impact injuries.
